Even if I try to persist, there’s always a time when it is no longer possible to walk around with bare legs under our latitudes. Every year, the same thing happens. I pile up stockings that I will joyfully rip one after another until the next spring. Oh the pantyhose! A pure jewel of the petrochemical industry… My own consumption alone is alarming, but knowing we are millions to buy tights, wear them a few times and then throw them away gives me shivers down my spine. That’s the thought that made me want to look for an eco-friendly hosiery brand.

Coming to the same realization, the two founders of Swedish Stockings Linn Frisinger and Nadja Forsberg launched their brand. From recycled fibers to eco-conscious dyes or water treatment and solar power, every possible effort is made to reduce the impact of these tights on the environment. And guess what? To this day they’re the only ones to do that. It doesn’t even stop there! You can even send them your old hosiery in exchange of a 30% discount so they can be recycled and turned into oil traps for the industry.

But are they good tights?

For my first order, I picked the Anna Control Top model. Black, matte and classic for around 20 euros. About a week later, I was receiving it. What can I say? This is some serious high-end legwear. The tights are soft, resistant and shape the legs perfectly. All I can hope for now is for them to last long and if it’s the case, the girls will have earned a loyal customer.

Fibres recyclées, teintures écologiques, traitement des eaux et panneaux solaires, tout est mis en oeuvre pour réduire l’impact environnemental de ces collants. Et devinez quoi? Elles sont les seules à le faire à ce jour. Et ça ne s’arrête pas là! On peut même leur envoyer nos vieux bas en échange d’un code promo pour qu’ils soient recyclés en déshuileurs pour l’industrie.

Mais que valent-ils?

Pour ma première commande, j’ai choisi le modèle Anna Control Top. Noir, mat, classique, le tout pour une vingtaine d’euros. Je n’ai rien a redire. On est sur un produit haut de gamme. Les collants sont doux, solides et offrent un galbe parfait. Maintenant, je n’ai plus qu’à espérer qu’ils tiennent la route sur le long terme et si c’est le cas, les filles auront gagné une cliente fidèle.
